There are many types of “drinkers” out there: non-drinkers, social drinkers, binge drinkers, “weekend-warriors”, problematic drinkers, etc. With the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have seen drinking pattern changes within many of my clientele, with binge drinking becoming more common. Do you binge drink? Some questions to ask yourself are:
- Do you consume alcohol quickly?
- Do you drink to “get drunk”?
- Do you find you need more to get your desired effect?
- Do you have trouble stopping?
- Do you drink more than you planned to?
- Do you have black outs from drinking?
- Do you participate in risky behaviour when drinking: driving, fighting, unsafe sex?
