There are many types of “drinkers” out there: non-drinkers, social drinkers, binge drinkers, “weekend-warriors”, problematic drinkers, etc.  With the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have seen drinking pattern changes within many of my clientele, with binge drinking becoming more common.  Do you binge drink?  Some questions to ask yourself are:

  1. Do you consume alcohol quickly?
  2. Do you drink to “get drunk”?
  3. Do you find you need more to get your desired effect?
  4. Do you have trouble stopping?
  5. Do you drink more than you planned to?
  6. Do you have black outs from drinking?
  7. Do you participate in risky behaviour when drinking: driving, fighting, unsafe sex?
