  2. Try to understand them before trying to understood
  3. Spend time together and schedule date nights
  4. Express your gratitude and appreciation for them and all they do
  5. Show them you remember what brings them joy and happiness
  6. Be present with them and let go of the past
  7. Really listen to and empathize with your partner
  8. Communicate your boundaries and respect their boundaries
  9. Take accountability and apologize
  10. Keep intimacy alive
  11. Be good to yourself
